In Her Own Words

Q&A with Ginni.

Key questions on why I'm running, what I'll fight for, and what kind of councillor I plan to be.

Question 01

What inspired you to run in the municipal election?

As a mom of two raising a family here in Ward 4, Milton is our home. I have loved watching our town grow over the last several years — but I've also seen where we're starting to fall behind.

From the daily stress of traffic congestion to the urgent need for safer school zones, I realized we need a representative who is approachable, accessible, and deeply invested in our neighbourhood's everyday quality of life.

I'm running to ensure Ward 4 has a professional, common-sense voice at Town Hall.

Question 02

What do you see as the top two issues facing Milton?

1. Safety and infrastructure lag. We need immediate, practical action for safer streets — especially for our kids. That means real traffic calming around our schools, more crossing guards in busy areas, and dedicated, safe spaces for children riding scooters and bicycles so parents don't have to worry every time their kids step outside.

Crucially, this safety must be year-round: we need reliable, proactive snow clearing around school areas, sidewalks, and crosswalks so children aren't forced to walk on active, icy roads in winter. We also have to address the parking and infrastructure bottlenecks that come with rapid, high-density growth before our roads become completely overwhelmed.

2. Responsible development and protecting our neighbourhoods. We have to ensure that new residential developments are actually matched with expanded parks, green spaces, and community centres. I'm fully committed to standing up for my neighbours to make sure that massive regional infrastructure projects have the lowest possible impact on our local environment and daily lives.

Question 03

How should town council approach economic growth over its next term?

Milton needs growth that is smart, balanced, and focused on people. As our town continues to grow, council must make sure infrastructure and services grow with it.

That means supporting local businesses, attracting good jobs, improving traffic and transit, and investing in schools, parks, healthcare, and public safety. Growth should not come at the cost of residents' quality of life.

We need responsible planning that keeps Milton family-friendly, safe, and connected while creating opportunities for the future. With the right approach, Milton can continue to grow into a strong and vibrant community that works for both residents and businesses.

Question 04

What single experience from living in Milton would serve you best on council?

As a Ward 4 resident for almost 10 years and a mother of two school-going daughters, I experience the same challenges many families face every day — traffic congestion, school safety concerns, overcrowding, and the need for better community infrastructure.

Listening to residents and understanding these everyday issues firsthand is what would help me be a strong and approachable voice for our community on council.

Question 05

Why should Miltonians vote for you this fall?

Miltonians should vote for me because I offer a unique mix of professional planning expertise — 18 years in banking, workforce management, planning and operations — and nearly a decade of genuine, hands-on dedication to Ward 4.

I am not a career politician. I'm your neighbour, a fellow parent, and someone who feels the exact same frustrations you do, because I live them every day.

I promise to be a transparent, approachable, and hardworking voice on council — focused on safer streets, better parks, and making sure Milton grows responsibly. I would be incredibly honoured to earn your vote on October 26th.
